Refund & Return Policy

Thank you for shopping at Ciao Amore Vintage. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, we’re here to help.

1. Return Window

You may request a return within 7 days of receiving your order.
After 7 days have passed from the delivery date, we unfortunately cannot offer a refund or return.

2. Eligibility for Returns

To be eligible for a return:

  • The item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn and unused (other than trying it on), and free from additional damage, stains, or odours.

  • All original tags, labels, and packaging (if applicable) must be included.

  • You must provide proof of purchase (order confirmation or receipt).

Because our items are vintage and often one‑of‑a‑kind, minor signs of wear, small imperfections, or age‑related flaws that were described or shown in photos are not considered defects and are not valid reasons for a return.

3. Non‑Returnable Items

We do not accept returns for:

  • Sale or discounted items marked as “Final Sale”

  • Gift cards

  • Earrings or intimate garments (for hygiene reasons)

  • Custom or altered items

4. Return Process

To request a return:

  1. Email us within 7 days of delivery at info@ciaoamorevintage.store with your order number and reason for return.

  2. We will confirm whether your return is approved and provide the return address and any instructions.

  3. Ship the item back to us within 7 days of return approval and share the tracking details (if available).

Please do not send items back without first contacting us, as we may not be able to process the return.

5. Return Shipping

  • You are responsible for all return shipping costs, unless we sent the wrong item or the item arrives with a major defect that was not described.

  • We recommend using a trackable courier or postal service. Ciao Amore Vintage cannot be held responsible for items lost or damaged in transit on return.

6. Refunds (EFT / Bank Transfer – South Africa)

Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we will notify you if the refund is approved or rejected.
If approved:

  • Your refund will be issued via EFT (electronic funds transfer) to the South African bank account you provide.

  • Please allow 5–10 business days after approval for the refund to reflect in your account, depending on your bank.

We may refuse a refund or offer a partial refund if the item is not returned in its original condition.

7. Damaged or Incorrect Items

If your order arrives damaged or you receive the wrong item, please email us within 3 days of delivery at info@ciaoamorevintage.store with photos and your order details.
If we confirm that the error is on our side, we will offer either:

  • A replacement (if possible), or

  • A full refund (including reasonable return shipping costs).

8. Exchanges

Because most of our items are one‑of‑a‑kind, we cannot guarantee exchanges for the same item.
If you wish to exchange, we will treat it as a return plus a new purchase: you return the original item (if eligible), receive a refund, and then place a new order.
